The surprise sunflowers at Dorothea Dix park last summer was gorgeous. Even with all the crowds it was still possible to get some beautiful pictures without all the tourists in the background. I’m really hoping this is an annual thing because it’s totally worth braving the traffic, heat and bugs to see it.
My favorite photoshoot locations in Raleigh: JC Raulston Arboretum
As a photographer I am constantly looking for new and different locations for clients. Over the years I have found a few that I love. This is the first of a series where I’ll show my favorite locations in Raleigh.
The arboretum is beautiful and provides many different backdrops. It has everything: wide open grass areas and trees, a huge selection of plants and flowers (even cactuses!), walkways, rustic wood backdrops, and a gazebo. Anytime of year this park makes a gorgeous place to have a photo session. Here are some of my favorite pictures from sessions I’ve had at the arboretum.
JC Raulston Arboretum is located close to NC State Campus at: 4415 Beryl Road Raleigh, NC 27606
